As June arrives, so does the anticipation of yet another School Day. This year, the festivities took on an extra layer of significance as 1 June coincided with World Children’s Day, so the School Day celebration was a sight to behold. A group of primary school students, together with their teachers, prepared a wonderful creative programme for the Parent Council and their peers. The program was rich in diverse artistic disciplines aimed at illustrating the creativity and talent of Savremena’s primary school students.

The programme began with captivating recitations, where students, both individually and in pairs, stepped forward to recite verses that left the audience spellbound. It comes as no surprise that the youngest students adore this, especially with the excitement surrounding the recitation competition held on World Poetry Day.

Following the recitations, the students treated the audience to a delightful short drama. Dressed as adorable rabbits, cunning foxes, cuddly bears, and playful squirrels, they skillfully performed a charming short play. Holding hands, their performance culminated in a beautiful recitation, leaving everyone in awe and deserving thunderous applause.

The students’ third act demonstrated their musical prowess. The school choir took centre stage, arranging themselves in three rows and enchanting everyone with three specially prepared musical pieces. Additionally, a group of five talented guitar students from Savremena, accompanied by their teacher, delivered a mesmerising musical piece that captivated the attentive audience.

Moreover, our ballet dancers, students who also attend ballet classes within the school, provided a graceful and elegant performance which left the spectators breathless.

Once again, School Day proved to be a joyous and entertaining occasion thanks to the extraordinary talents of our students, who consistently surpass expectations and demonstrate their exceptional abilities year after year.
