ACCREDITED NATIONAL PROGRAMME
Savremena’s National Programme for older elementary school students is implemented in accordance with the official curriculum approved by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia. This curriculum is continually updated and upgraded through the use of new technology, teaching materials and other resources for the advancement of students and teachers alike.
The National Programme is focused on the adoption of fundamental knowledge and learning about the national and international cultural values. With the exception of foreign language lessons, the teaching at this programme is mediated exclusively in the Serbian language; upon its completion, the students receive a national diploma and they are ready to enrol into top secondary schools.

Classrooms with flexible seating arrangements and state-of-the-art teaching equipment have been specifically designed for children aged 11 through 15.
The place where the teaching takes place has been designed so that the student simultaneously has the freedom to communicate with others and a quiet corner for doing tasks.

Primary School Savremena’s National Programme is implemented according to the curriculum approved by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia.
This curriculum is continually modernised and upgraded through the use of latest technology, teaching materials and other resources for the advancement of students and teachers.
According to their own wishes and plans, each student prepares, in an innovative way, assisted by their mentor, for the primary finals and the enrolment into the desired secondary school.
The gifted students of Primary School Savremena attend special preparations for competitions and develop their talents in various clubs: journalism, drama, literature, music and others.
We carefully avoid industrial food, additives, flavour enhancers, white flour and white sugar and refined vegetable oils in the children’s diet. All food is 100% fresh and organic, prepared immediately before serving. In addition to serving balanced meals, Savremena gives a great deal of attention to nutrition-related education. The students get used to the taste of healthy and fresh food, learn to combine foodstuffs and start seeking out healthy alternatives outside school, developing good habits for the future. 100% healthy.

Working in small classes allows the educational process to be personalised through forming dynamic groups and assigning tasks customised to each student’s ability. The teachers always keep an eye on each student’s progress.
MULTIDISCIPLINARY LESSONS
INDEPENDENCE IN LEARNING
With multidisciplinary lessons, the student is enabled to fully grasp the connections between different fields – literature, mathematics, history, geography…, which leads to a comprehensive understanding of the world and the adoption of the skill of interdisciplinary learning itself.
The students are encouraged to take an individual approach to the subject matter, seek connections between subjects and areas and, in cooperation with their peers, find creative solutions for different tasks, free to use the knowledge readily available in the library and the Learning Centre.

The interdisciplinary way of presenting the subject matter lets the student perceive the facts and lessons that need to be learned in a wider context: thus, the knowledge in literature is connected with history, mathematics with geography, biology with chemistry… These relations create new insights and ideas, and the student maneuvers through the exciting world of knowledge freely and confidently.
CRITICAL THINKING
Independent and critical thinking allow for better analysis, selection, evaluation, interpretation and application of information.
