Visiting the Natural History Centre: Thematic exhibitions leading to new insights

In an unforgettable adventure at the Natural History Centre, the students visited thematic exhibitions and expanded their knowledge of history, geography, biology and the world around us. They expressed the greatest enthusiasm for the World of Dinosaurs. The Geological Time Machine allowed them to travel around the planet learning new facts about its origins and history. They were introduced to the mammoth Kika, and had great fun of course.

Natural History Centre – An oasis of entertainment for all age groups

The one-of-a-kind Natural History Centre in Svilajnac is a combination of science, education, entertainment and tourism rolled into one. The greatest attraction for all visitors is the large exhibition space and the outdoor amusement park Dino. The museum building is home to eight thematic exhibitions, whereas the Dino Park is built inside a miniature volcano.

The students expanded their knowledge of the origins of our planet, plants, animals, minerals and rocks through these exhibitions, and absolutely loved the World of Dinosaurs and the Dino amusement park.

Students delighted with life-size dinosaurs

The students were delighted beyond words with the World of Dinosaurs, and visiting the Dino Park, they had the chance to learn a lot of interesting facts about these unique animals, the age of dinosaurs, species of dinosaurs that used to inhabit the Earth, and they even picked a favourite:

“My favourite dinosaur is Tyrannosaurus rex, and now I know it was the largest terrestrial animal. I learnt many new things not just about dinosaurs, but other animals, plants and rocks on Earth.”

In addition to the Dino Park, the students visited other thematic exhibitions:

  • World of Minerals and Rocks,
  • Animals of Africa,
  • Geological Time Machine.

Learning and expanding one’s knowledge on practical examples

This trip allowed our students to familiarise themselves with dinosaurs, mammoths, and the world of planets through thematic exhibitions, and they also had the chance to expand their knowledge and learn new things on practical examples. Instead of cramming dry facts, Savremena’s students learn through examples both during curricular and extracurricular activities. This is the guarantee that children will never forget things they learnt.
