The third international meeting of the CARE2LEARN project took place at the Emphasys Centre in Nicosia, Cyprus
We were introduced to the demo version of the CARE2LEARN application
Representatives from Primary School Savremena, Katarina Mladenović, a psychologist, and Milena Tarbuk, the school’s principal, participated in the international project meeting on 8 June 2023, as part of the Erasmus+ project CARE2LEARN.
The meeting hosts were the representatives of the Emphasys Centre in Nicosia. Partners from Croatia, the “Step by Step” Parents’ Association, were present at the meeting, while partners from the Faculty of Teacher Education in Zagreb attended the meeting online. The CARE2LEARN project is part of the Erasmus+ programme, an international initiative of the European Commission. It focuses on the youngest learners and the very beginning of their education. The Erasmus+ programme is dedicated to the education, training, and mobility of youth, as well as fostering collaboration with institutions and organisations in the field of education.
The goals of the CARE2LEARN project are aimed at preschool children and their parents. One of the goals is to enhance the capacity of parents of preschoolers in recognising and developing key competencies for starting school, as well as supporting the educational process.
During the meeting, a demo version of the CARE2LEARN application was tested, through which parents and children will be able to practice early key competencies that facilitate the transition from preschool education to primary school. The meeting concluded with an agreement on the next steps in piloting this educational application within specific target groups, as well as the timeline for article development and application translation into the languages of partner countries.
In the afternoon, following the meeting, the partners had the opportunity to familiarise themselves with all the activities of the Emphasys Centre, which, in addition to international projects, is also engaged in education and research in the field of robotics.
At Savremena, we constantly strive to enhance education in all areas, and we are always interested and motivated to provide children with the best possible educational experience. These kinds of meetings are important to us because, through the exchange of experiences, we gain invaluable knowledge.
