The sweetest Life Skills programme yet!

Homemade chocolate and Plazma pops

The Primary School Savremena’s Life Skills programme took us to the school’s dining hall where we indulged our sweet tooth enjoying the desserts made by our youngest students.

When asked what ingredients must go in their favourite sweets, they shouted in unison: “Chocolate, milk and Plazma”. We had no choice but to respond to their request, so we set about making their favourite chocolate and Plazma pops together.

First, we put 125 grams of margarine into a saucepan, and added 250 millilitres of milk, 100 grams of sugar, and finally, 3 bars of baking chocolate. When everything was properly mixed together, we added 300 grams of Plazma and stirred until our arms ached. We left the mixture to cool, and enjoyed homemade cream puffs enriched with vanilla filling and whipped cream. Do not hold it against us, but we simply couldn’t wait long enough for the puffs to soak up the filling. They were so delicious, we couldn’t help ourselves!

When the filling mixture cooled down, we used it to make chocolate pops, decorating them with Plazma and coconut flakes. We made a great many pops, but we didn’t eat them all – we put some into colourful moulds to boast our baking skills before our parents and friends.

These activities helped us learn new skills, and introduced us to the basics of baking. The sense of accomplishment and satisfaction when you make something so tasty is incomparable, and our new skills are now truly different!
