The Erasmus+ project ``Brainfinity`` has started
The project's kick-off meeting was held in Maribor
Representatives of the Primary School Savremena and Institute for Contemporary Education attended the first kick-off meeting that took place in Maribor as part of the Erasmus+ project “Brainfinity”.
Before the actual meeting, there was a great deal of preparation, discussion and agreement between the partners regarding applications, which contributed to the fact that all partners participating in the project got to know each other better even before the meeting. The meeting was attended by representatives from Portugal, Bulgaria, Serbia and Slovenia, and hosted by Igor Razbornik, the project mentor.
A consortium consisting of one school and one organization from the previously mentioned countries gathered in the pleasant space of the Diocesan Gymnasium in Maribor to discuss different aspects of project implementation point by point. It was also an opportunity for the partner organisations to introduce themselves to each other, but also for the participants from ICE to introduce Ivan Anić – the author of the Brainfinity challenge concept, who gave an introductory explanation to everyone present via video link about the type of challenges our students have to face in their favourite problem-solving competition. After Ivan’s introductory presentation, many meeting participants started solving tasks they found on the existing Brainfinity website, which will also gain popularity on an international level during our project.
The pleasant atmosphere at the meeting contributed to free communication and exchange of experience with partners regarding teaching, teaching practice and the general organisation of teaching. The representatives of Primary School Savremena had the opportunity to hear interesting ideas that they can implement in teaching.
This was only the first in a series of meetings – the next one will take place in Portugal, whose representatives are also the coordinators of this interesting project and whose National Agency approved funds for the project.
We hope to have successful cooperation and an inexhaustible source of inspiration that will help us create education that is just right for the children.
