Students of Primary School Savremena participated in the Science Festival: Practical knowledge through interactive workshops

Knowledge in motion: Experiments, robotics, and logic games delighted the students of Primary School Savremena at the Science Festival

Students from Primary School Savremena attended this year’s Science Festival, the largest scientific event in the Southeast European region. At the festival, they had the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and participate in various activities and experiments in the subject fields such as mathematics, physics, biology, engineering, and technology.

The Science Festival, which has been held in Belgrade for sixteen years, provides an opportunity for all visitors to gain a fresh and new perspective on the world of science through interactive workshops and diverse content. This year, the festival was organised under the slogan “Novo doba” (A New Era) and brought together over 800 participants from Serbia and abroad, featuring more than 170 scientific programmes.

Students of Primary School Savremena had the chance to express their creativity and curiosity through workshops on space and planets we may one day inhabit, to explore what it’s like to be an archaeologist and what is required in order to become one, to study light phenomena, learn more about ecology and recycling (the topics discussed almost daily in their classes), observe specimens under microscopes, and participate in thrilling scientific experiments.

The students who excelled in these fields at competitions were selected to attend the festival, and the physics and biology teachers also accompanied other students who showed interest in this type of activity.

Through its wide range of interactive workshops and diverse content, the Science Festival provided students with a unique opportunity to experience science as an integral part of their daily lives while developing an inspiring, fresh perspective on various scientific fields.
