Savremena’s students impressive at tournament at Kopaonik

Fantastic results of our students in winter sports

Year 3 students Lana Lukač and Teodora Vujović achieve excellent academic results at our school. But they are also a true inspiration to their friends and living proof that you can achieve anything if you put your mind to it.

Lana’s skiing achievements are fantastic. We’ve just received news from Kopaonik where she managed to win two tournaments, the BSK cup and the National Cup, while Teodora Vujović won two silver and two bronze medals at the snowboarding competition!

SKIING IS A SPORT WORTHY OF ATTENTION

Most kids love the snow and winter activities, and skiing is an excellent opportunity to have great fun. Perhaps one of the most beautiful winter sports, skiing helps you develop balance, a sporting spirit and a love for competition.

Lana Lukač has showcased extraordinary prowess, energy and talent. We can safely say that she’s one of the most promising female skiers in Serbia in her age group. Lana has won the two most important tournaments in the country: the BSK cup and the National Cup. Congratulations on these extraordinary results!

We wish you the best of luck in the future, Lana!

Teodora Vujović also achieved fantastic results at Kopaonik: she won two silver medals (slalom and giant slalom) and two bronze medals (ski jumping).

Snowboarding resembles surfing, and is similar to skiing as it’s practiced, of course, on snow.

Freestyle is visually the most attractive style, which focuses on jumping, tricks and other stunts that are mostly done in the popular halfpipe. This style is very similar to skateboarding, but it’s done on snow. Freeride is another style. Freeriders prefer the complete mountain experience on natural, un-groomed terrain. The essence of freeriding is a communication between the snowboarder and the mountain. Freecarve/Race, also known as alpine snowboarding, is practiced on groomed pistes and highlights the snowboarders’ technical abilities.

With her excellent snowboarding achievements, Teodora has shown multiple talents and proven to be a great hope of Serbian sports. Congratulations!
