Savremena’s students first adventure: An unforgettable day at Ada

We practiced sports, camped, and played Vikings and Robin Hood games

The first adventure for students in Years 1 and 2 in this school year for an unforgettable day at Ada. The little ones enjoyed productive and carefully designed activities for a unique outdoor experience.

Ada is a magical lake and relaxation spot. But let’s not forget that it’s also the perfect location for outdoor learning and sports. The Belgrade lake was the destination chosen for our junior students at the beginning of an exciting school year.

Among other things, Savremena is a green school that fosters a responsible approach to nature, which is why our students often have Classrooms Without Walls.

UNFORGETTABLE SPORTS ACTIVITIES AT ADA

This unique adventure allowed the students to try their hands at orienteering: they learnt how to navigate using a map, compass and the course around them. Another exciting activity was zip line, which has become a global attraction in recent years. Using mountaineering equipment, the little ones slid down a cable, overcoming their fear of heights.

During Airsoft, the students tested their accuracy. Using replica weapons and plastic projectiles, the goal was to gain points thanks to their precision and focus while shooting at a target. Every child loves Robin Hood, which is why they simply had to give archery a go. With a real bow and arrow, the little ones put their archery skills to the test, and the winners proudly went home with a smile on their face.

WE LEARN FROM FORESTS AND RIVERS AND SHARE A LOVE OF NATURE

Dragon Boat was the perfect opportunity for fun on water. Rowing in boats resembling those of the mighty Vikings, the students tried to beat the clock and reach the finish line. Teamwork and good leadership skills – that was the recipe for victory. Learning the basics of camping was particularly interesting: how to set up a tent, light a fire, what’s a Primus stove or a Prusik, and what knots are used for.

Finally, Perfect Hit was a game in which the goal is to overcome an obstacle with as few tries as possible.

The children practiced precision and spatial awareness. These sporting activities were a real learning experience for the schoolchildren.

They learnt that success requires diligence and teamwork; that determination always pays off, and that practice makes perfect.

Ada Ciganlija gave us beautiful weather, and we gave joy and love in return.

During this school trip, the children were in the good hands of their teachers: Danijela Kleut, Mirjana Ilić, Ivana Dimitrijević, Danica Nikolić, Milica Babin, Mina Krneta, Kristina Ranković and Milica Ranković. The students learnt what it means to enjoy nature and learn at the same time. At Savremena, education is intrinsically linked with nature, which teaches us and makes us better people.
