Savremena’s primary students as court ladies and members of the Royal Guard

The merry school bus echoing with the song “Nek svud ljubav sja” brought happy students to the House of Jevrem Grujić, and after 90 minutes at one of the most beautiful museums in Belgrade, drove off with sophisticated court ladies and serious members of the Royal Guard.

Savremena’s students got these titles during the unforgettable tour of the museum, whose authentic exhibits illustrate life in Serbia and Europe in the 18th, 19th and 20th century.

Savremena’s primary students were first introduced to the members of the Grujić family, namely the old moustached Jevrem, one of the most renowned statesmen and diplomats of his time, his wife Jelena and father-in-law Teodor Herbez. The students enjoyed the exhibits and the art work, as well as old and rare weapons and equipment.

What ensued was a party, one Savremena’s students are used to at their school. Interesting, educational and interactive, it included lots of logical thinking and linking, as the students were required to complete the workshop entitled “Mystery at the Museum” by finding a lost painting.

Of course, this was no problem for the students who easily solved the task using their creative and intellectual skills, all the while learning about our country’s rich history.

As a reward for a job well done, the students got cake and juice from Queen Natalija.

Finally, the girls were declared court ladies and the boys members of the Royal Guard, and they all left the museum in great spirits.
