Savremena becomes a DELF school – an accredited centre for French language exams

The first exam brings DELF certificate to excellent candidates who have shown high-level skills in French

Primary School Savremena has officially received DELF certification. Although the accreditation was obtained in 2020, the school has organised the first exam for 12 candidates this month due to the coronavirus situation.

The Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of Serbia and the French Embassy in Serbia have established a programme that enables schools to organise DELF certification, i.e. exams that test French language skills. This internationally recognised certificate was designed by the French Ministry of Education.

“School DELF” certification includes levels A1, A2, B1 and B2. Each spring, the exams are organised by the French Institute in Serbia together with schools accredited by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of Serbia and the French Embassy in Serbia.

On 17 April, DELF exams took place at Primary School Savremena for the first time, given that the French Institute in Serbia accredited Savremena as a school DELF examination centre.

“SCHOOL DELF” OFFERS GLOBALLY RECOGNISED DIPLOMAS AND ENROLMENT INTO FRANCOPHONE SCHOOLS

As an accredited DELF centre, Savremena enables students to obtain a globally recognised French diploma that’s valid for a lifetime.

This way, their French language level will be certified with a diploma, which will increase their academic potential. For example, they will be able to follow bilingual lessons or enrol at a philological high school. They will be able to study in France and experience student exchanges. In the near future, the students will be able to apply for jobs in the francophone labour market.

THE DELF NETWORK OF SCHOOLS TRANSCENDS NATIONAL BORDERS AND PROMOTES LANGUAGE DIVERSITY

Owing to the DELF accreditation, Primary School Savremena enables students to prepare for the future with prestigious diplomas. The school has joined a network of exquisite national and international schools devoted to promoting language diversity and, most of all, the Francophonie.

The officially recognised skills will be highly beneficial for the students. Moreover, the teachers will also benefit, given that DELF helps them enhance French lessons through a lot of creative work. This practical approach to teaching is fully in accordance with European standards, i.e. the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

Congratulations to the remarkable primary students who have obtained DELF certificates! We are sure that Savremena, an educational leader in the region and now an accredited centre and organiser of DELF exams, will welcome many more talented students who prove their knowledge with diplomas. Desire to learn foreign languages is actually a desire for success.
