MORE THAN 6,000 STUDENTS TRAVELLED AROUND THE WORLD DURING #SAVREMENASCHOOLTRIP

Now that #Savremenaschooltrip is over, we are all happy because we visited many beautiful places, but also sad because our journey came to an end.

In just six days, from 24 through 29 April, more than 6,000 students travelled around the world together with their guides, the teachers from Savremena’s primary and secondary schools.

We visited all seven continents, 38 countries and numerous landmarks, sites and museums, as well as the New 7 Wonders of the World (the Great Wall of China, Petra, Christ the Redeemer, Machu Picchu, Chichen Itza, the Colosseum and the Taj Mahal).
We can only say one thing to the participants: Well done, globetrotters!

TRAVELLERS FULL OF GREAT IMPRESSIONS

The feedback of Savremena’s travellers has been truly encouraging and we’re very pleased that we managed to make the isolation period more interesting for the kids, while having lots of fun and learning new things. In addition to the brief but important comments, such as: A great journey!, Wonderful!, Well done! or Thank you for this wonderful journey!, the students and their parents sent us their impressions of #Savremenaschooltrip on a daily basis.

One of them was David Kovačević, a future first-grader at Primary School Savremena, who not only followed #Savremenaschooltrip, but he also became a guide for the tours he liked the most! He also made original and imaginative videos about his experience.

The little ones were joined by their parents and teachers (we know that many of them came along) who had nothing but praise for Savremena’s journey around the world. Sara’s mum Marija informed us that her daughter really enjoyed this virtual school trip:

Sara is having a wonderful time on this school trip. 😊 She made selfies all across Europe. She will also do this in Asia and Africa. Your idea is great! Thank you for accepting our application. We would have missed so much if we hadn’t joined you on this journey. We wish you all the best!

Ogromno interesovanje za Savremenu ekskurziju

LOTS OF FUN AND LEARNING DURING #SAVREMENASCHOOLTRIP

Another mum, Ana Pavlović, was delighted with #Savremenaschooltrip and the locations we visited:

Dear all, this is fantastic! A real treat! Compliments for the idea!

We have also received thanks for a great experience from mum Tatjana and her sons who followed #Savremenaschooltrip:

I must say that together with my boys (ten-year-old triplets), I enjoyed the wonderful images, music and texts on this unusual journey. You organised the school trip perfectly. A big hello from Jovan, Pavle and Petar Brajović and mum Tatjana.

Numerous primary and secondary schools from Serbia joined us on this school trip. Some teachers encouraged their students to participate in #Savremenaschooltrip, while some students and parents organised everything themselves, meaning that several friends from the same class and school joined us on our school trip. Sveti Sava Primary School from Gornji Milanovac proudly shared their globetrotters’ certificates on social media.

The current situation in the world didn’t prevent our students from travelling and participating in an online school trip! From 24 through 29 April, class IV-3 students Lena Jovanović, Nina Zelenkapić, Tina Pavlica and Ena Karanfilović visited interesting destinations and famous landmarks around the world. Of course, they did this from the comfort of their homes. They participated in Savremena’s online school trip for which you don’t need passports, suitcases or money; just the desire to see the world. They started the journey in the Lascaux cave in France and completed it in our wonderful Serbia. The tour guides on this journey were the teachers from Savremena’s primary and secondary schools, the school states.

Most participants wanted to know whether the pages and links for #Savremenaschooltrip will be available after the school trip. Don’t worry, you will be able to revisit and explore the destinations whenever you want, as they are all located on the Primary School Savremena website.

Učenici oduševljeni Savremenom ekskurzijom

Thank you very much. We’ve completed the quiz. Well done. You’ve carried this out perfectly, if you care for a tourism specialist’s opinion. My little daughter is delighted and she learnt a lot, says mum Dajana Leštar.

Here’s some more feedback from you:

Dear teachers, a million thanks for this wonderful presentation, unforgettable adventure, lots of knowledge and entertainment during these gloomy days! I wish you plenty of success in your professional and private life, says Biljana Nikolić.

As the Principal of Primary School Savremena, Jasmina Franolić, said at the beginning, we wanted to make this isolation period as fun and interesting as possible for the children.

This was a little reward for all those who have been brave and responsible and stayed at home; for those who have worked hard and regularly completed their obligations. This is why we provided them with a small break from studying. At first, we designed the school trip for our students, however, we consequently decided to reward all the students in Serbia and contribute to the easing of this difficult situation. We wanted to make these days interesting, fun and full of great content, said Jasmina Franolić.

“THANK YOU FOR MAKING SPRING WONDERFUL FOR STUDENTS IN SERBIA”

Uživanje na savremenoj ekskurziji

We hope this has been yet another success. In fact, we didn’t stay at home at all: we swam, surfed and sunbathed on the beaches of Miami and Hawaii, enjoyed a safari in Kenya, visited the Van Gogh museum in Amsterdam, went scuba diving with sharks in the Queen’s Gardens, went rafting on the Zambezi, enjoyed the view from the Eiffel Tower and the Tokyo Tower, and tasted the most interesting specialties of the Indian, Thai, Mexican and other exotic cuisines. We visited the most holy sites of all religions, the largest and driest deserts, the longest rivers, the highest mountains and volcanoes, the most beautiful seas and lakes…

The feedback received from the children and parents confirms that #Savremenaschooltrip was a joy for students throughout Serbia and the region. One of them is mum Svetlana Bašić, whose children visited all the destinations on the school trip even though they are not Savremena’s students.

Well done, Savremena. The school trip was excellent. It’s wonderful that you shared this experience with all the students in Serbia. Thanks on behalf of my children, says Svetlana Bašić.

PRAISE FROM ALL PARTS OF SERBIA AND THE REGION

People have been thanking us for this wonderful experience from all over Serbia – Novi Sad, Banja Koviljača, Kruševac…

Thank you for this excellent idea and the effort you invested in order to make the children happy during quarantine. We had a great time! Stay creative and keep up the good work, says Luka Đorić from Novi Sad.

And Stevan Stojiljković sends a roaring message:

Thaaank you so much, it was more than I could have expected!! A real joy and an unforgettable experience!
