IV-1’s EMOTIONAL GOODBYE TO TEACHER DANIJELA KLEUT

Saying goodbye is difficult, but parting ways with teacher Danijela Kleut was particularly emotional for class IV-1. They gave her an unusual surprise and moved her to tears; best of all, she had no idea what was coming.

I thought we were celebrating the 11th birthday of our classmate, Lazar Bulat, and had no idea about their surprise. I’m overwhelmed with emotion! The experience I gained at the school with this class is wonderful, we created such a strong bond – says teacher Danijela Kleut.

Her student Mateja Baketarić says that all of them gave their best to make this day special:

We’re having a wonderful time and I’m excited because we are finally all together, celebrating our friend’s birthday and playing different games. And because the teacher will open our presents and read our messages.

A DAY FULL OF TEARS AND LAUGHTER

This encounter had to end in tears, both from the students and mums, which is understandable given how much everyone praises teacher Danijela, her approach to teaching and the special bond she created with her students. The students and parents couldn’t hold their emotions as one wonderful stage was coming to an end and a new chapter was beginning.

It’s really difficult to say goodbye to the teacher. Danijela has done a lot for our children. We were a group of people who didn’t know each other and she had to make a team out of us. We knew perfectly well how to organise this surprise, as we are a close-knit community. I believe we managed to do a unique job that is special and creative, just like our teacher – says Sanja, Milica Trikić’s mum.

NEW EXPERIENCES AND CHALLENGES AHEAD

Still, everyone is aware that they are in for great new experiences and challenges ahead. They are happy that the school year is successfully coming to an end, with flying colours and many new friendships.

It’s always hard to say goodbye to fourth-graders, but when they come as fifth-graders to help me with some new first-graders, it’s great to see how they are growing up. They are a wonderful class and I’ve learnt so much from them. They have become such good friends. There was a lot of love and beautiful moments in the past year – says teacher Danijela.
