How does one interesting digital world lesson look like

Multidisciplinary approach in everyday school life

When the teachers are innovative and the students are motivated, every lesson easily turns into a unique creation. At Savremena, we do not wait for special occasions to design interesting lessons.

This time, students from class II-2 had the task to make a presentation at home about one country in the world and find out interesting facts about it. In this way, the students practised presentation skills but were also encouraged to spontaneously connect knowledge from geography, language, informatics, and general knowledge, so this class, apart from research, also had a multidisciplinary character.

In addition to acquiring new knowledge, the students also had the opportunity to find themselves in the role of a lecturer. The lesson was extremely interesting, and peer education proved to be a very successful method because the students learned a lot of interesting things from each other. Each student approached the topic in its own way, so the children also learned more about the interests of their friends. This type of connecting knowledge from different school subjects also aroused the children’s curiosity, so they ended the lesson eager for new knowledge and motivated to continue researching.

At Savremena, it is very important to us that students acquire both academic and functional knowledge, but also nurture creativity, and lessons like this are an excellent example of how inspiring and successful this approach is in practice.
