Another generation of Savremena students has stepped into a new chapter of growing up. Our eighth-graders have finished their primary school journey, and the halls of Savremena Primary School are filled with a very special emotion these days – a gentle blend of pride, joy and nostalgia. Behind them are eight years of learning, friendship, challenges, victories, laughter, conversations and moments that will never be forgotten.

From their first school days to the final moments of primary education, our students have grown before the eyes of their teachers, parents and friends. They learned letters, numbers, rules, formulas and lessons, but also something even more important – how to build friendships, how to offer support, how to respect differences and how to go through everything that school life brings together.

Today, as we say goodbye to an important stage of their lives, we know that they are not leaving Savremena only as students who have completed primary school. They are leaving as young people enriched by experience, more confident, ready for new challenges and surrounded by friendships that, we believe, will last a lifetime.

The students of VIII-2 will be remembered as a generation full of energy, talent and remarkable team spirit. Great athletes, tournament winners, fighters on the field and even greater friends outside it, they showed that success is not measured only in medals and victories, but also in the way teammates support one another, respect their opponents and protect the sense of togetherness. Each of them brought something unique to the class – a special talent, a sense of humour, perseverance, creativity, cheerfulness or calmness – and together they created an atmosphere that will rarely be forgotten.

Their classroom was a place where jokes, laughter and carefree moments met seriousness when it was needed most. They knew how to recognise when someone needed support, how to stand by each other and how to show maturity that went beyond the classroom. They protected one another, helped each other and nurtured friendship, loyalty and understanding.

The students of VIII-1 were equally special. Their strength was reflected in unity, closeness and the feeling that problems are easier to solve when shared. They were there for one another – as friends, support and encouragement. Together they learned, grew, talked, cheered each other on and created memories that will always bring them back to their school days at Savremena.

Goodbyes are never easy, especially when we are saying farewell to a generation that has become an important part of the Savremena story over the years. Still, this goodbye is not an ending – it is a gentle step towards something new, bigger and exciting. New schools, new subjects, new friendships and new challenges await our eighth-graders, helping them discover even more about themselves and the world around them.

Savremena Primary School remains the place of their first big school steps, first important victories, first team achievements, meaningful conversations, sincere smiles and friendships that grew day by day. We believe that everything they take with them from here – knowledge, confidence, responsibility, curiosity and a sense of togetherness – will be a strong foundation for the path ahead.

Dear eighth-graders, thank you for the energy, joy, honesty and mark you have left at Savremena. We are proud of you and excited for everything you are yet to achieve. May you always carry the certainty that here, you have always had – and will always have – your place. Good luck!
