To mark the birth of the reformer of the Serbian language, the students of our school had many literary and art workshops on the topic of the importance of Vuk Karadžić for our culture.

From 7 to 11 November, the manifestation “Dani Vuk Karadžića” was held at Primary School Savremena. In Serbian language and literature classes of older grades, the students read short folktales, made posters with the most famous proverbs written on them, and then they recalled some of the riddles they already knew, as well as all those proverbs and question sayings they heard from their grandparents.

Younger students were a bit more creative, so firstly they drew Vuk Karadžić, and then disguised themselves as him with his characteristic pipe and fez. They recited poems written about him and had a great time learning about the lifestyle of that period.

Both teachers and students enjoyed finding inspiration in past times, while the children learned everything important to know about the reform of our language and Vuk Karadžić.

In Savremena, we use every opportunity to inspire our students to express their creativity, so this time they really amazed us with their jokes, interpretations and ideas.
