Another Family SMART DAY will be held at Savremena on Saturday, April 16. On this exciting and captivating educational adventure that involves 10 fun workshops, children and their parents will have the opportunity to travel to the most distant planets and galaxies on a 9D VR starship, dive to the bottom of the ocean, get to know the world of robotics, design their own video game, let their imagination run wild with shapes and colors, awaken their music talent, and perhaps discover some previously unknown talents, free of charge.  

The modern and well-equipped premises of Savremena Primary School where the Family SMART Day will be held are a perfect oasis for learning and spending time with friends. Parents will be able to spend quality time with their children, learn more about the school, and have a truly different educational experience.

Workshops that will take you to previously unimagined regions and landscapes

9D journey on a VR starship

A state-of-the-art 9D starship allows you to travel through the solar system and beyond, to go back in time to prehistoric times and hang out with dinosaurs, learn the anatomy of the human body from inside a cell, and even attend epic battles between mythical knights and dragons.

Traveling the Earth with VR glasses

Participants in this workshop will have the opportunity to visit distant places and discover their natural resources, see various plant and animal species that live there, meet and learn more about different cultures of the world.

Workshops that will introduce you to the world of IT

Start a robot on a STEM table

Children can develop their creativity, logic and critical thinking by starting and controlling robots Jima, Alpha, Sphero and meeBot on the interactive STEM table.

OSMO: Design your own game 

Assembling OSMO magnetic tiles before an iPad, you can write your very first program and control the game’s hero, guiding him through different challenges. 

iPad quiz: How well do you know fairy tales? 

All children love fairy tales, but they also love competing in quiz games. This is why this particular workshop is a winning combination for having fun: participants will be able to compete in different quizzes on the Kahoot platform, testing their knowledge of fairy tales and favorite cartoon characters. 

Workshops that will rouse your imagination and stir your brain

Awaken your music talent and discover other, hidden talents 

You will learn what makes each musical instrument special, what are the basic music elements, such as melody, rhythm, and harmony, how music can inspire different emotions, and how different tonalities affect us.  

The first English class 

We will use this opportunity to organize an English proficiency test for our future students. This way, both they and their parents will learn what awaits them in Year 1 English classes. 

Magic hands and fingers 

With the assistance of Savremena teachers, children will make various accessories (jewelry, hats, belts, hair clips, headbands, brooches, picture frames, decorative items, etc.). 

Art workshop: Little creative artists 

Spend quality time and have fun with your children enjoying painting, drawing, sculpture, plasticine modeling, wax crayons, and many more in the art workshop. 

Let’s help these drawings come to life 

One of the favorite activities at Savremena is when children’s drawings come to life, i.e. when they turn into impressive 3D images and scenes thanks to the tablets used in teaching.
