Throughout November and December, activities at Savremena were intertwined with the project entitled “Developing Togetherness”, where the class 5-2 was a rather convincing victor. They got to choose their own reward, and they opted for a visit to the cinema, and unanimously voted for the latest Marvel Universe hit, Spider-Man: No Way Home. 

The class 5-2, led by its class teacher Miloš Petrović, was declared the winner in this year’s competition, i.e. the togetherness project. Their engagement in class, their performance, behaviour, discipline, and friendship and respect for one another consistently demonstrated excellent team spirit and cooperation, allowing them to collect the most points in the competition.

Here is an opportunity to take a fresh look at the Hogwarts points system. We are glad, but not surprised that we were right to think that Savremena’s students were going to like this system. We congratulate 5-2, but we must also commend other classes who studied hard and tried for the prize. What’s most important here is not the winning itself, but true togetherness that is developed through this project.

Activities based on mutual support and competition result in students’ common interest, and that is – adopting positive behaviour models, the sense of being included, interaction with peers, and self-confidence that stems from the results.

The class of 5-2 was thrilled about this victory. Euphoria is not too strong a word to use, as it was their first time together at the cinema as 5-2. As for the film experience itself, you should have seen the looks on their faces when portals connecting different universes allowed two earlier Spider-Men (Toby McGuire and Andrew Garfield) to pop in.
