Students’ works inspired by the new year and the festive atmosphere

Savremena’s students showcase their holiday creativity

Art takes more than creativity. It requires specific skills. Judging by the paper decorations they made with their teachers, Savremena’s students are highly talented artists.

Ahead of the New Year’s holidays, they were given the task to fill their classrooms and school premises with unusual creations, and their solutions are bright, colourful, interesting, rich in ideas, works of art.

Christmas trees, Santa Clauses, snowmen in various forms, snow figures, snowflakes, ballerinas, happy reindeer, paper garlands… These are just some of the ideas the secondary students used to decorate the school premises.

In addition, there were works on a given topic such as “Winter Landscape” where they had a creative task to present all the ideas on this topic in a special corner. There were many stylish elements and, with a sense of form and colour, the little ones created quickly and diligently. They delighted the teachers while competing to see who will present winter and the New Year better.

A series of connected Santa Clauses in different colours was a complex task. But not an impossible one. They also made angels, as well as special cards with dedications where they wrote their wishes, greetings, and excitement about the upcoming holidays. Everyone who approaches the works will have the opportunity to feel (or read) something personal and powerful – which is why we can safely say that our New Year’s mission has been fulfilled.

What is also encouraging is the wide range of techniques the students used. We are sure that some of them will become visual artists, and that everyone will master the basic creative skills.
