Sports Spirit at Savremena: Students shone in a plethora of sporting activities in May
Students demonstrated their outstanding sports skills and sports spirit throughout the entire month
Primary School Savremena marked the month of May with a series of sports activities, including international matches, city championships, school championships, as well as special events for eighth-grade students.
On 3 May, our school continued its collaboration with the German School Belgrade by organising a volleyball match for girls from grades V to VIII. Following a successful football match for boys from grades V and VI in March, this time the girls emerged victorious in volleyball, demonstrating excellent sports skills and teamwork.
Just five days later, on 8 May, our student Irina Ubiparip from class VI-2 represented our school at the City Athletics Championship. Irina competed in the 600-meter race, showcasing exceptional speed and endurance.
Mid-month, on 22 May, a school basketball tournament was held for students from grades V to VIII. The team that won was class VII-2, demonstrating remarkable skills on the court.
Two days later, on 24 May, we once again faced the German School Belgrade, but this time in an indoor football match. Although our students from grades VII and VIII played with great passion, they ultimately lost with a score of 4:1.
The following day, on 25 May, we organised a Sports Day for eighth-grade students at Košutnjak. The students spent the day participating in various sports activities, enjoying nature, and socialising.
The end of the month was marked by a special match on 30 May, as part of the celebration of School Day, where teachers and students played a friendly volleyball match.
Primary School Savremena is proud of the sports spirit and skills exhibited by the students throughout the entire month. Everyone is looking forward to future sports events and opportunities for new victories.
