Savremena students achieve success in sports competitions

Snowboarding, as a recreational winter activity, was created in the 1960s in the US. Unlike skiing, which has long been a standard Olympic sport, snowboarding was first introduced to the Winter Olympics in 1998. Maybe one day, our girls will compete in one of the Winter Olympics, because they are already achieving success after success, and we wouldn’t be surprised if our boys qualify for the Summer Olympics, because last week, they demonstrated what “going all out” looks like in the pool.

Savremena students love sports. They have already achieved great success in tennis, basketball, football, volleyball, table tennis and gymnastics. This time, they have made us proud in swimming and winter sports.

Students of class IV1 Lana Lukač and Teodora Vujović were very successful in this year’s skiing and snowboard competitions. Even though the season of competitions is not over yet, our students already won several medals: Lana Lukač won a bronze medal in skiing, while Teodora won two bronze medals in snowboarding (slalom and giant slalom).

Year 5 students of Savremena demonstrated great fighting spirit, perseverance, resolve and discipline in the city swimming competition. We are happy that our students love sport, because it helps build one’s character.

Swimming and skiing for proper growth and development of the child

Whether your child will become a professional athlete or not is not that important. What is important though, is that they learn to swim properly, because swimming develops the overall physical abilities of the child, expanding their lung capacity and strengthening their heart.

Skiing is a sport that can be learned from the age of six, because attention and motor coordination develop at that age. Swimming and skiing are sports that help develop self-confidence, because children learn perseverance and healthy sportsmanship.
