SCHOOL–PARENT PARTNERSHIP AND STUDENT SUPPORT SYSTEMS – INTERACTIVE WORKSHOP FOR PARENTS AT SAVREMENA
The parents of Savremena’s primary school students actively participate in school life. Together with the teachers, they strive to contribute to their children’s education and success, which they showed by taking part in a unique interactive workshop: “School–parent Partnership and Student Support Systems”.
WHY IS SCHOOL–PARENT PARTNERSHIP IMPORTANT?
The unique and professionally designed programme was opened by school principal Jasmina Franolić:
“The parents are our partners and through interactive workshops and educational activities dedicated to the parents and the students, they actively participate in their children’s education and school life; this is something we all enjoy. Together we create an inspiring environment and build a foundation for the successful future of our children”, said Jasmina.
At the event, the parents learnt about their children’s comprehensive development from experts, with whom they participated in workshops designed to enhance interpersonal relationships and develop children’s thoughts and feelings.
The lectures and workshops for children were organised simultaneously and the programme was classified into several stages:
- introductory lecture presenting student support systems;
- an interesting and educational psychodrama workshop;
- discussion and Q&A.
The lecture on children’s comprehensive development and the presentation on student support systems were given by Aleksandar Kuzmanović, the school counsellor, and Milena Tarbuk, the school psychologist, while Sonja Savić, a certified European psychotherapist, led the educational psychodrama workshop.
A PSYCHODRAMA WORKSHOP DESIGNED TO HELP YOU DEVELOP SOCIAL SKILLS AND AWAKEN YOUR FEELINGS AND INNER WORLD
Savremena’s students are full of creativity and imagination which are encouraged in curricular and extracurricular activities on a daily basis. However, encouraging these traits in a psychodrama workshop has a deeper goal, as its elements enable children to think about their feelings and their inner world.
The workshop was realised through a carefully designed game inspiring the children to naturally and spontaneously express their inner state, thanks to which they:
- strengthen their self-respect;
- develop social skills;
- encourage imagination and creativity.
DEVELOPING SKILLS THROUGH INTERACTIVE WORKSHOPS IN A FAMILY-FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT
Thanks to the parents’ active participation in school life, a firm bond is established between the students, parents and teachers. This creates a healthy and cohesive community with a shared goal – the best possible education and a comprehensive development of each student.
Through workshops and carefully designed activities, Savremena’s students are encouraged to learn:
how to show respect and love, how to express their feelings, how to develop empathy and take care of others.
