Savremena’s students achieve fantastic results at 10th “Willkommen” competition
Yet another prestigious competition marked by Savremena’s students’ knowledge
Ten years in a row, international foreign language competition “Willkommen” has been popularising foreign language learning at primary and secondary schools. At this year’s competition, Savremena’s students achieved notable results in French and English.
The competition is mainly realised via the “Willkommen” online platform; however, certain schools, including ours, got an opportunity to be a part of this international project not only as a participant, but also as a partner.
This is why we can proudly remind you that last year, the first round of the competition took place in Savremena’s classrooms.
At last year’s “Willkommen”, Savremena was represented by our sixth- (then fifth-) grader Aleksandra Mamuzić and our seventh- (then sixth-) graders Aleksa Rikić and Lilita Milčić. They decided to apply again this year, and they achieved fantastic results again. This time, they were joined by Đurđa Jovanović from the fifth grade.
These excellent students are Primary School Savremena’s great pride and joy. Lilita Milčić triumphed in English, while Đurđa, Aleksandra and Aleksa showed excellent knowledge of the French language. Bravo, dear students!
With a lot of practice, dedication and teachers’ support, the results always come
At Savremena, children learn in a natural, spontaneous way, through play, which is much more productive. Early foreign language learning prepares children to perfect the language in a faster, easier way when they are older, thereby becoming fluent speakers. Children are capable of adopting a large vocabulary quickly and spontaneously, and sounding just like native speakers.
With Savremena’s teachers’ dedication, language learning is much easier and more pleasant, and results at competitions keep coming. Teachers Dajana Marković and Melanija Savić worked a lot with the students to prepare them for the competition.
We wish our students good luck in further competition. We believe that their achievements will encourage others to experience this delightful contest next year.
