Savremena’s artists shine in “autumn portrait” photo contest
What did the autumn photographing adventure look like?
Savremena’s students faced an unusual challenge: to make an original recording of the current season using their cameras or smart phones. The task was part of the “Autumn Portrait” competition, and the results were surprising – many of the entries were on par with professional photos.
Their inspiration was at a high level. The students adhered to the competition rules and made a plethora of photos, out of which they chose the best ones.
The students had to make sure their photos had high resolution, good lighting, shadows, composition and rhythm. The photos had to be in colour, and one student could send no more than two digital photos (in vertical and horizontal dimensions) made with a camera or phone.
Each student at Primary School Savremena has the opportunity to develop their talents and interests. Therefore, art lessons and workshops at the school are specially designed to make the students love art, which was successfully proven by the “Autumn Portrait” photo competition.
Autumn is more than inspiring, which is evident from the photos brimming with yellow, ochre, orange, brown and dark green colours. The season motivates and discovers its richness and beauty. The photos show that autumn is interesting, striking, sometimes funny, but never, as we often believe, depressing.
