Savremena's students and their parents show compassion and bring joy to children from Orahovac and Velika Hoča

Children should be taught that kindness, generosity and the joy of giving are invaluable

Students of Savremena Primary School are not only successful in school and competitions, but they have also shown us through a number of humanitarian actions they have participated in that they are growing into compassionate and sympathetic people. The latest proof of this is a humanitarian action they organized to collect aid for children from Velika Hoča and Orahovac.

Childhood is the best time to develop compassion and empathy. If we teach children to share toys and sweets with others from an early age, it is very likely that they will grow into people who feel empathy, understanding and tolerance for others.

One of the primary goals of education in Savremena Primary School is to help develop empathy in children, and the best partners in achieving that goal are the parents of our students, whom we would like to thank for always responding to our humanitarian actions.

Partnership with Sveti Sava Orthodoxo School of Theology

Dr Jovan Lazarević, representative of the Sveti Sava Orthodox School of Theology, supervisor of religion teachers, and the initiator of this humanitarian action, thanked our students, teachers and parents for their wholehearted support, and wished them a happy Easter.

We collected considerable amounts of school supplies, hygiene products and toys

Thanks to the compassion and generosity of Savremena students’ parents, children from Orahovac and Velika Hoča received a gift for Easter in the form of school supplies, hygiene products and toys, which made them happy, and made this year’s holiday even more memorable.

Humanitarianism is the duty of us all, and one of the most valuable qualities one can possess. Adults have a duty to lead by example and show children what humanitarianism and compassion mean, but at the same time, they should learn about being noble from children.

We are looking forward to new actions, because sharing brings happiness.
