Savremena student shines in oratory competition

Great news for Savremena

In a stimulating environment of Savremena, young talents are gradually honed until they shine bright, making us all proud. This time, it is about success in public speaking. Savremena student, Matija Baketarić, was chosen among the eight best orators in the oratory competition, thus qualifying for the next round.

The competition in oratory and recitation for children aged 8 to 18 was organized for the fourth time. The first round of qualifications in oratory and poetry recitation was successfully held on Saturday, December 18, featuring forty young orators, all students of elementary school, and about thirty reciters, both from elementary and high school.

A SAVREMENA STUDENT WITH HIS ORATION WON OVER THE JURY MEMBERS AND THE STUDENTS OF OTHER SCHOOLS

A Savremena Primary school student Matija Baketarić is a member of the school club Oration, acting and reciting, led by Jasmina Franolić and Marija Šaponjić. Matija’s oration was on TeamSeas as a social phenomenon.

His attitude, clear speech and razor-sharp and cerebral statements engendered a lot of applause and the admiration of the jury. In his oration, Matija referenced the global issue of ocean pollution, but also provided clear suggestions on the ways each of us can contribute to the solution of the problem.

The jury had a difficult task to select the top eight orators and eight reciters who will enter the finals and compete for the Ljubica Koprivica Charter and truly valuable donors’ awards.

We wish Matija success in his performance at the Cultural Center Čukarica at 11 a.m. on 23 December!

A PLACE IN THE FINALS – PROOF OF QUALITY OF SAVREMENA’S SCHOOL CLUBS

Owing to the implementation of the program for developing multiple intelligences, Savremena’s clubs are an addition to the curriculum that provides students with diverse knowledge and enables them to have a creative break from learning.

Matija is an example of a hard-working and dedicated student who never misses lessons in the Oration, Acting and Recital club. Thanks to Matija’s dedication and diligence, his creative work paid off. Matija’s qualifying for the finals is the best compliment and proof of how good the school clubs are.

Well done, Matija! Continue with your hard work, and we can’t wait to cheer you on in the finals!
