The City as a Stage: Art That Connects
Savremena School ballerinas perform at Gardoš Tower
We are delighted to share news of a special artistic experience of our students, who once again demonstrated how talent, dedication, and courage come together in a memorable performance. BeoBalet ballerinas from Savremena Primary School – Siena, Atina, and Hana – took part in the inspiring project “The city is the most beautiful stage, and BeoBalet takes it over,” aimed at bringing art closer to people and revitalizing urban spaces through dance, music, and movement.
The setting of Gardoš Tower in Zemun provided a unique backdrop for their performance, where history, architecture, and art blended in perfect harmony. Accompanied by cellist Mima Vrbani, our ballerinas conveyed a story beyond words through their movement, leaving a strong impression on everyone present.
Projects like this offer valuable opportunities for students to step beyond the classroom and into the real world of art, developing confidence, creativity, and a sense of community. We are proud of their achievements and look forward to many more moments in which they will shine.

Art Beyond the Classroom
Participating in projects like this represents an important step in the development of every young artist. Performing in an open space, in front of an unexpected audience, brings a unique blend of challenge and excitement. Our students demonstrated exceptional focus, discipline, and artistic maturity, proving that dedication and hard work are always recognized.
Through such initiatives, children have the opportunity to learn beyond traditional educational frameworks, explore their own limits, and express emotions through movement. The combination of ballet and live music further enriched their performance, creating an authentic experience for all observers.
Savremena Primary School continuously supports such projects, believing that education should be a holistic and inspiring experience that nurtures every child’s potential.
A Pride to Share
This performance was not only an artistic event but also a strong message about the importance of supporting young talents. Siena, Atina, and Hana showed through their dedication and energy how important it is to believe in one’s dreams and work towards achieving them.
We extend our gratitude to the project organizers and artists who made it possible for our students to be part of this beautiful story. Special thanks go to the parents, whose support plays a key role in every child’s development.
We look forward to future projects and new stages where our students will continue to create, learn, and inspire.
