Savremena primary students visiting the zoo

3rd graders getting to know the animal kingdom

Savremena primary students used a lovely sunny day for visiting the Beo zoo. They met cheerful, friendly seals and the oldest American alligator on the planet, the famous Muja, who has lived in the Belgrade zoo ever since 1936. Special enthusiasm ensued when they met the lively penguins that have recently started enjoying the attractive penguinarium.

This was another one of many adventures through which Savremena primary students become aware of environmental protection and broaden their knowledge thanks to the concept “classroom without walls”.

WE DISCOVERED AN INTERESTING WORLD OF CURIOUS ANIMAL SPECIES

Zoos always abound in fascination and education. In Belgrade you can see unusual animal species who originate from other corners of the world.

Whether we are referring to talking parrots, peacocks spreading their feathers, griffon vultures, Bengal tigers, white lions, rare birds, fawns and, naturally, kangaroos – each animal hides a secret of its own. Monkeys are fun, snakes are cold, yet beautiful, Muja the alligator is sleepy, and the calves are adorable.

ANIMAL KINGDOM OF BIG AND SMALL BEAUTIFUL CREATURES

At the baby-zoo, the children played with little wild goats, they could pet the puppies, and they even saw the baby weasels. Right beside it, they used their energy to have fun on monkey bars and slides on the playground. Afterwards, there was a tour where they could see turtles, pelicans and flamingos. Is there an end to this loveliness?

This is why visiting the Dorćol zoo is always a treat for our young ones, and a great opportunity to remind ourselves how beautiful this world can be, the world that we, luckily, share with the irreplaceable animal kingdom.

Overall impression: We cannot wait to go there again!
