It is with great pride that we share another inspiring achievement showing that talent, knowledge and persistent effort are recognised far beyond the classroom. Dunja Trifunović, a student of Savremena Primary School, has been selected among the 100 most successful young people in Serbia under the age of 19, with her biography and most notable achievements featured in the book “100 Young Leaders of Serbia”.

This important recognition marks another milestone on Dunja’s journey, which has long been characterised by outstanding results, curiosity, dedication to learning and a constant desire to push her own boundaries. The numerous awards she has earned at national, republic-level and international competitions demonstrate the consistency of her work and show just how far perseverance and a genuine love of knowledge can lead.

The project “100 Most Successful Young People in Serbia Under the Age of 19” was launched by the Youth Club Association from Niš as an independent educational initiative designed to discover, support and introduce exceptional young people whose achievements deserve special recognition. It brings together successful students, athletes, artists, young scientists, humanitarians and talented individuals from a wide range of fields – and our Dunja is now proudly among them.

Being selected among Serbia’s 100 young leaders is not simply recognition of one individual result. It celebrates everything that came before it – countless hours of learning, preparation, exploration and competition, as well as the determination to set a new goal after every achievement. This is precisely what makes Dunja’s place among the selected young people so meaningful: it reflects the consistency, discipline and inner motivation that have accompanied her development over the years.

Following the selection of candidates from different parts of Serbia, the book “100 Young Leaders of Serbia” brought together the biographies, photographs and most important achievements of one hundred outstanding young people. Dunja’s accomplishments have now been permanently recorded on its pages as part of the story of a generation demonstrating the remarkable potential of young people through knowledge, talent, creativity and commitment. To mark this achievement, Dunja also received a diploma and a membership card of the Young Leaders of Serbia Club.

The initiative is particularly valuable because it shines a light on young people whose example has the power to encourage their peers. Rather than viewing success solely through final results, the project celebrates the qualities behind them – perseverance, responsibility, creativity, knowledge and the willingness to keep learning and improving. The project has also received support from European Youth Association and European Women in Math, further strengthening its mission to recognise and promote young talent.

For Dunja, this honour is another remarkable achievement, but also encouragement to embrace new challenges, gain new knowledge and continue reaching even higher.

For the entire Savremena community, Dunja’s success represents much more than another important award. It demonstrates what can be achieved when talent is supported by curiosity, dedication and the determination to persevere even when reaching a goal requires additional effort.

We are especially proud that through her accomplishments in the book “100 Young Leaders of Serbia”, Dunja also represents Savremena Primary School. Her achievements confirm something we strongly believe in every day – students should be given opportunities to discover their interests, develop their potential, set ambitious goals and gain the confidence to pursue them. Achievements such as this show how knowledge and skills developed during school years can become the foundation for accomplishments that extend far beyond the classroom.
