Children from Belgrade kindergartens spent a fun and educational day at Primary School Savremena. They had fun, hung out with teachers, tried everything the most state-of-the-art primary school in the region has to offer, and eventually went home full of impressions, repeating the same message: “It’s awesome, we want to enrol here!”

A large group of preschoolers who visited Primary School Savremena with their teachers had the opportunity to enjoy five workshops and have a go at the following:

• VR 9D Starship;
• STEM table and robot initialisation;
• VR Headset;
• Game development;
• iPad quiz about fairy tales.

They spent an unforgettable day hanging out with peers from other kindergartens, learnt many new things and familiarised themselves with the possibilities of education at Primary School Savremena.

Time flew by

Upon arrival, the preschoolers were a bit shy, probably awed by the “big school” they are preparing for and the school everyone told them about; however, their fear soon disappeared entirely. Their preschool teachers and teachers at Savremena helped them to relax, and this is when the fun started.

They scampered about, split into several groups so everyone would get the opportunity to participate in the workshops, and their time at Savremena flew by unnoticed.
– It was great; the school is awesome. We played, hung out, and I really don’t understand why everyone is telling me that starting school is scary, when school is actually fun. I’m just sorry we couldn’t stay longer – said one of the children enthusiastically.

The main attraction – VR 9D STARSHIP

Preschoolers from Belgrade showed great interest in all workshops, but when the time came to hitch a ride in the 9D VR Starship, the children were stunned. Six of them were able to ride in the starship at a time, visiting planets of the Solar system, taking a walk among the stars, and going back in time to see the dinosaurs.

– The children were so excited about our visit to Savremena that they counted down days till departure. They enjoyed this IT tour immensely and we will definitely be recounting every detail of it for days at our kindergarten – said one of the preschool teachers.

Primary School Savremena provided snacks for the visitors who had the opportunity to visit study hubs, school library and recreation area. Upon departure, they also received small gifts that would remind them of this beautiful experience.
