Savremena’s students and their parents can choose online professional development courses.

The courses, tailored to the students’ age, are additional materials which are not part of the curriculum. The idea is for them to enrich and expand their knowledge. Also, 12 online courses have been provided for their parents completely free of charge. This will allow them to enhance their skills and knowledge regardless of their line of work.

The courses are age-appropriate and are not mandatory nor are they part of the regular school curriculum, but are additional learning materials that we want to help students enrich and expand their knowledge. Students are assigned the following courses:

Superheroes Level 1 & 2

This course is intended for students who are becoming familiar with the English language and are learning how to read.

In addition to learning the English alphabet, the students will also learn the primary colours, geometric shapes, numbers from 1 to 10 and basic greetings.

Grammar Stories

The English grammar course is intended for students with a certain level of knowledge. Given that there is no better way to learn grammar than interactive stories and tests, each story in this course focuses on a particular tense.

After each story, the students can test their text comprehension.

Computer basics

Literacy in the modern age is much more than just reading and writing – it also includes digital literacy. Given that the children are living in the age of smart devices the use of which comes naturally to them, this requirement has been taken to a higher level.

This is why in this course, the students will gain advanced computer skills and learn how computers can help them in their education, all of which is done in a simple way with a lot of practical work.

English – starter

On the Starter course, we start slowly, from the basic and simplest elements of English grammar.

You go at a steady pace, you get acquainted with the vocabulary, basic times, comprehension of what you read, and before the end of the course, texts will be processed that will introduce you to the vocabulary needed to conduct simple communication in English.

Image processing

Digital literacy is 21st-century literacy. However, it no longer refers solely to the basic use of computers and the Internet, but also includes advanced image processing, animation, coding and other skills.

This is why in this course, the students will master an image processing program and learn how to create, transfer and store digital photos.

OKmatematika Junior

This course will help students up to Year 5 understand and love maths.

Through videos and animations adapted to their age group, a plethora of imaginary characters and a simple method for learning numbers, measurements and geometry.

Savremena’s students will increase their interest for maths and master their school tasks effortlessly.

Text editing (Word)

The Word course is dedicated to a program that deals with word processing on a computer.

It is assumed that the student has a basic knowledge of computer work, and the idea is for students to gain basic and necessary knowledge regarding text processing.

Excel course (Spreadsheets)

The course is designed so that students can easily get acquainted with Microsoft Excel. In the first part, they get acquainted with the program interface in order to later learn to use the built-in tools and their various options.

Microsoft Excel is a very powerful program, which can help them in simpler arithmetic operations, as well as in complicated calculations and exercises.

Presentations (PowerPoint)

In this interesting course, students have the opportunity to master in detail the functionality of Microsoft PowerPoint.

Due to the most effective monitoring of the course, the complete material is divided into modules, ie thematic units that will gradually introduce them to the graphical interface and the use of built-in tools and options.

Basics of using the Internet

This course introduces students to the concept of the Internet, as well as how it works and how to use it in the best way.

They will learn how to search the Internet, that is, how to use the most popular web browsers, such as Google Chrome and Internet Explorer, and use them to find and browse sites.

Web design through play 

Website editing or Web Editing has the task of introducing students to the basic concepts and terms that are important for the creation and processing of websites, but also the basics of programming languages ​​HTML and CSS.

They will learn the basic concepts in writing and building the correct HTML and CSS code.

As Savremena is always really different, it was decided to give parents of modern children valuable gifts as well – a package of 12 professional online courses that will be important for them to improve their skills and knowledge, regardless of what field of business they are in.

Learning through the Distance learning platform is flexible and adapted to the obligations of parents. They can dedicate themselves to lessons when it suits them best, from home, from work or some other place: 24 hours a day, seven days a week, regardless of where they are at that moment.
