Lemonade Day at Savremena

Savremena’s students are growing into big-hearted people

On the last day of March, 5-2 students Vukašin, Mia, Iva, Anika, Eva, Dunja and Staša, as a part of their activities in Cambridge subjects Global Perspectives and English as a Second Language, held a charity bazaar, where they sold fresh lemonade and decorated jars. Today, the collected sum, six thousand dinars, was paid to “Be Human” foundation’s account designated for the medical expenses of Jovana Antić.

Through this good deed, the students showed everyone how important it is to think of others and be humane. This exemplary act sent a message to their peers and adults alike – how effort and emotions can be built into an initiative for noble deeds, and showcased the true meaning of solidarity.

At Savremena, children are taught to help others, and make important steps towards better understanding and acceptance of true values, engagement in the community, and joining forces in order to help someone.

Children often remind us how to be model citizens – and, most importantly, good people.

We would like to invite all people of good will to join this campaign and donate what they can.
