Online lecture for all education professionals

The Institute of Contemporary Education’s Center for Professional Development organized an educational online lecture Principal as mediator and protector of school methods given by Jasmina Franolić, a woman of over 30 years of experience in the field of education, management and logistics, and the Principal of Savremena Elementary School.

The lecture refers to the role of principals of educational institutions in building and maintaining good relationships between all participants of the educational process. Jasmina spoke from the standpoint of her extensive experience, given that she has been in this position for over twenty years. The focus of the lecture was on what makes good school ethics, and how to maintain and preserve it. She also touched upon the activities of a principal as a mediator between parties in potential disagreement.

Does an idealized view of the school community have a chance for successful implementation, and is it possible to build and maintain an environment in which the educational process of children can be at its most productive, providing opportunities for realizing the full potential of students and teachers alike? The lecturer argues that it depends on the one who sets an example through their actions.

Jasmina Franolić has worked as a partnership development manager and marketing activity coordinator since 2015, significantly contributing to the development of the LINKgroup company, and raising its activities to an even higher level since her election to the position of the Principal of Savremena in 2018.

In addition to principals and managers of educational institutions, the lecture was also intended for all those education professionals who want to learn more, and contribute to the better functioning of their educational institution.

As a published novelist, poetry writer, and an author of numerous literary reviews, articles and papers about education, Jasmina was the right and obvious choice for the role of lecturer. Her experience and knowledge as a principal gives her credibility as a lecturer capable of interpreting the possibilities for successful communication in the school environment.

Good communication between the school principal and employees, as well as between the school employees themselves can and should serve as a model to be applied in all relationships between the parties that participate in the educational process. It should bring together and motivate parents, teachers, and students in equal measure.
