The ceremonial welcome marking the beginning of the new school year brought excitement and joy because of the reunion and a new beginning. Everything was filled with emotions because, besides making new friends, new adventures and life lessons await the students. Regardless of the gloomy morning, children, teachers, and parents brightened the day with their positive energy and cheerfulness. We were extremely happy about that because the trademark of Savremena is precisely the smile students come to school with.

While many children regret that the summer vacation is over, students at Primary School Savremena, as well as their teachers and parents couldn’t wait for the start of the new school year. 

The director of Primary School Savremena, Jasmina Franolić, gave a speech to the students and parents, wishing everyone the best school year so far. She told them that everyone was eagerly awaiting their arrival to start their new school adventures and that their teachers, as well as their friends, older students of Savremena – ballerinas, reciters, and choir members – would also give them a real welcome.

In her speech, one could feel the great amount of love she has for the children and how proud she is to have the privilege to be a part of seeing another generation of students growing and maturing, along with her colleagues. Likewise, in the director’s speech, but also in the speech of all the teachers who will teach first graders this year, one could see the willingness to continue doing what they do best, which is to provide a high-quality, dynamic, and truly different educational experience.

In addition to the wonderful programme that everyone enjoyed, the real adventure took place in the classroom. It all left a great impression on both the first graders and their parents and they took home numerous gifts.
