Life Skills Programme provides the students of Primary School Savremena with the tools they need to develop independence, proactivity, and skills that they will be able to use in real-life situations.

Our youngest students started the second school term with paper, crayons and new creative skills within the Life Skills Programme. When we saw dozens of familiar pictures and logos, we realised that we recognised what was hidden behind them – one small picture was enough for us to recognise whether it was the Duolingo app, Facebook, McDonald’s or Apple company.

That’s how Suzana Vulović, the Art teacher, taught us what Visual Communication in Digital Culture actually is! We realised that symbols are hidden all around us and that we can communicate important messages and essential information using pictures, emoticons, symbols or logos.

Students from grades I–IV were given really challenging tasks – while some of them had to draw an advertising poster, others found themselves in the role of a designer for a video game app icon, and we have to admit – they did a great job!

We can’t wait to see if our V–VIII grade students will be able to surpass this abundance of colours and creativity!
