HOCKEY PLAYERS FROM CHICAGO DELIGHTED WITH SAVREMENA
On Friday, 8 December, Primary School Savremena welcomed three young hockey players from Chicago’s Cube Development Team: Jack Armstrong, Alan Hartman and Caleb Creal, who were impressed by the atmosphere in the school and the students’ hospitality.
SAVREMENA – A MUST-VISIT PLACE IN THE CAPITAL CITY
The young athletes were accompanied by their parents and the representative of Red Star Hockey Club, Nenad Raković.
In the previous days, they were guests of our capital city and Red Star HC, at the initiative of their parents, their hockey club and the U.S. Embassy.
The programme of the visit included a visit to the most modern school in Belgrade, Primary School Savremena, where they met their peers and attended interesting lessons and workshops.
THE BIGGEST IMPRESSION – LOTS OF JOYFUL CHILDREN
During the visit to Savremena, the twelve-year-olds attended a Combined Programme robotics lesson with the ICT teacher, and an English lesson with workshops regarding the upcoming holidays, prepared specially for them.
The guests were delighted not only with the lessons and the school environment, but also with Savremena’s students who welcomed them with joy and their well-known hospitality.
We also have nice schools, but we’ve never seen so many joyful and smiling children, said the young hockey players.
We wish the young hockey stars plenty of success in their education and careers, and we hope they will visit Savremena’s students again soon.
