Fun PE lessons at the swimming pool
Savremena’s students as future water sports champions
PE lessons are always fun and more than useful. After many sports games in the schoolyard, Savremena’s little ones had a great time at the Vizura Sports Centre swimming pool, where they showcased their swimming abilities.
Students in Years 5 and 6 enjoyed swimming at the Vizura Sports Centre swimming pools, a venue that often hosts PE lessons. Swimming is one of the students’ favourite activities, and teacher Željko Zarić organised a highly creative lesson that’s both useful and entertaining.
The lesson was mostly aimed at advancing swimming techniques and learning fun ways to swim with a ball or foam board.
SWIMMING LESSON AS A FUN AND USEFUL SPORTS ACTIVITY
Practically all kids love water and water activities are both fun and useful. Swimming is one of the best ways to exercise as it engages the entire body and doesn’t stress the ankles.
Physical activity is essential for children’s growth and development, and water is the perfect environment for exercise and entertainment. Savremena’s primary students are mostly excellent swimmers, so all swimming pool activities are pure pleasure for them.
Swimming improves the cardiovascular system and stabilises blood pressure. It strengthens the entire muscular system – arms, shoulders, the back, the chest and legs – and builds stamina and endurance.
REGULAR PHYSICAL ACTIVITY MAKES US STRONGER, HEALTHIER AND MORE CONFIDENT
Whenever the weather permits, PE lessons take place outdoors, where the children can enjoy football, basketball, volleyball and other team sports. In extracurricular sports activities, students prepare for various group or individual tournaments.
PE lessons often take place in the large, modern sports centre, but according to many students, the best and most creative lessons are the ones in the swimming pool.
