On Saturday, 1 June, at Primary School Savremena and Savremena Gimnazija, we will organize a free evaluation of the affinities and potential for preschool children aged between 5 and 7, as well as an interesting multidisciplinary class to demonstrate the use of educational technology.

Detailed report on child’s abilities

The duration of this unique group evaluation of children’s maturity, potential and affinities is one school period – 45 minutes during which preschoolers, guided by the school psychologist, solve various engaging problems on a tablet, and using paper and crayons. School counsellor Milena Tarbuk underlines:

“Based on these problems, we can gain a comprehensive insight into the level of children’s cognitive maturity and their readiness for school. After an expert analysis of the results, we write a separate descriptive report for each child and email it to their parents.

Based on this evaluation, parents will get a comprehensive personalised report on their child that provides information on:

• Cognitive profile of the child;
• Their potential and talents;
• If their preschooler is ready for school;
• How to best prepare their child for school.

Interdisciplinary lesson and helpful tips for parents

After the evaluation, the preschoolers attended an interactive lesson at Savremena, in which they explored the world using VR headsets, operated mini robots and played with interesting educational gadgets. This way, they could experience our creative and interactive instruction firsthand.

While the children were in class, the parents talked with Savremena’s expert team and received valuable tips on how to best prepare their preschool children for primary school. They were introduced to the state-of-the-art learning environment and teaching practices in the region available only at Savremena. Both parents and their children received gifts to remember this fun day.

This evaluation of the talents and abilities of preschool children is just one of the events we organise for that purpose”, said the Principal of Primary School Savremena, Jasmina Franolić.

This was just the first in a series of evaluations of the affinities and potential of preschool children organised by Savremena. Due to a great number of applications received, we will soon announce a new date of evaluation.
