Female students and teachers of Primary School Savremena and Savremena Gimnazija celebrated 4 June, Women’s Golf Day, by competing in an interesting tournament on the Ada Ciganlija golf course.

They had training where, among other things, they practiced precision, patience and strategic thinking. Afterwards, the representatives of Primary

School Savremena and Savremena Gimnazija demonstrated what they learnt in a tournament, showing their team spirit on the golf course.

Our school nurtures athleticism and team spirit

This is the fourth year in a row that the students and teachers of Savremena demonstrated their golf skills on Women’s Golf Day.

“Primary School Savremena and Savremena Gimnazija nurture team spirit from the very beginning! Our school offers a variety of sports activities, including sports uncommon for this region and available only at our school. Girls radiated positive energy on the course, and the great fun we’ve all had today gives us the motivation to organise similar sports events in the future”, said Jasmina Franolić, Principal of Primary School Savremena.

Challenge for fans of the game and strategists

Women’s Golf Day is an event aimed at bringing together all ladies who have never had the chance to try their hand at golf, but also professional golfers.

Golf is a game played on an open course, and the goal is to get the ball into a hole with as few strokes as possible. This requires a lot of practice, and our girls once again proved they are quick learners.
