Early spring, sun and flowers grace Primary School Savremena

Junior class students took part in a workshop on spring

There’s always an abundance of good energy and high spirits at Primary School Savremena. The arrival of spring is particularly joyful because of the nice weather and longer playtime in the schoolyard.

And the budding flowers, of course. The students were tasked to capture this moment in a workshop on early spring.

Junior class students first talked about what spring means to them? What happens in spring? Can there be spring in people? Full of original views, the students eloquently described spring. And some of them remembered numerous songs about this season.

It was clear that the students were eager for spring to begin as soon as possible. They would love to lose their winter hats and gloves, and spend more time outdoors. Savremena’s spring school trips are always special, educational and full of games and sports activities.

WORKSHOP: “THE AWAKENING OF EAAARLY SPRING”

Did you know that flowers could talk? Several languages, for that matter. During the workshop, the students made large flower bouquets out of paper that practically talked. The flowers contained finely designed petals in many colours, blue, red, yellow, purple, and many tender buds.

The students made flowers for plant pots and bouquets, and some you could put in your hair, as well. “The Awakening of Eaaarly Spring”, mentored by school counsellor Marija Bunjevčev, is actually an illustration of something sleepy that’s yet to awaken. And as we know, spring is round the corner with its budding flowers and beautiful weather.

While waiting for the bright days full of beautiful spring smells and aromas, Savremena’s little ones used the workshop to summon nice and vibrant weather. And here’s how Duško Radović spoke of spring:

“We’re getting closer to spring. Actually, spring is getting closer to us. If it didn’t decide to visit us, we would never reach it.”
