Don’t miss a free Family Day at Savremena: Get-together for children and parents
On Saturday, 16 November, at Primary School Savremena in New Belgrade, 86 Omladinskih brigada Street, between 10 AM and 1 PM, we will organise the first Family Day that guarantees fun for the whole family.
Family Day is designed for children aged 5 to 12 and their parents who will participate in educational and creative workshops together with their children.
What can you expect at the great Family Day?
At this Family Day, Savremena’s students and their parents will get the opportunity to join in educational and creative workshops where they will play with robots, solve interesting maths problems, enter the world of programming, and travel to faraway lands and Mars with the help of the VR headset. The entertaining workshops for preschool and primary school children and their parents include:
- Let’s operate a robot;
- Fun maths games;
- Creative hand – drawing and painting workshop;
- Music workshop;
- IT kids: little programmers create their first video games;
- Speech-language stimulation Children of Their Word;
- The power of play – creative psychodrama workshops;
- VR educational journey;
- Sportić – physical activities;
- Kahoot quiz: Guess the fairy tale.
Creative workshops for nurturing talent
Fun is guaranteed in the music workshop, drawing and painting workshops, as well as Sportić workshop, but these workshops also nurture and encourage creativity and talent development in children. They will be able to try out and adopt various art techniques, and familiarise themselves with the basic music elements in the music workshop.
These workshops will teach children to express and depict their inner world through art, and the most important thing is to recognise talent from an early age, which is something Savremena insists on both in curricular and extracurricular activities.
For parents – counselling and evaluation of the child’s affinities
Apart from workshops, parents will be able to watch educational films, participate in engaging lectures and get answers from a psychologist and a speech therapist to all their questions about:
- Overall child’s development;
- Growing up;
- Education.
We have also prepared a special innovation and rarity – psychodramatic workshop the Power of Play where children and parents may participate together. In addition, the parents will get answers to all questions and dilemmas about their child’s affinities and talents from experts in these fields.
