Comprehensive 21st century learning: useful knowledge and prestigious diplomas
We discover, learn and have fun in a creative way
Primary School Savremena is known as an institution where children get educated in an unconventional way, learning about many modern phenomena and solidifying their knowledge of culture and science. The doors leading to the world’s most prestigious institutions are wide open to our students, because their time at Savremena brings along opportunities to gain prestigious language certificates.
Through many theme days and lessons at our schools, students have a wealth of opportunities to embark upon real adventures towards the world of culture and art – actually creating these events and designing their content. This way, along with learning about a specific field, they acquire experience and take responsibility to organise something themselves.
In addition, the students get educated about the latest discoveries in science, think about the value of the environment and sustainable development, and get encouraged to participate in projects. There is also the option of getting the most prestigious certificates confirming their knowledge of English and French.
COMMON EDUCATIONAL CULTURE AND SCIENCE WORKSHOPS
A good example of learning about life values is the event organised at Savremena on the occasion of the World Book Day. This school day was filled with smiles, new discoveries and friendship; most importantly, the children learned more about the power of togetherness and culture.
Children from different classes joined forces and came up with a phenomenal show. They adapted movie scenes, acted parts from dramas and performed skits based on well-known literary works. They also expressed their creativity through providing cover design and illustrations for their favourite books. There is nothing we cannot do through the power of community!
See the video about our World Book Day, where the students shone bright and showed exquisite knowledge of other languages and cultures.
Another important date was 22 April, the International Girls in ICT Day. It is quite an important day, established at the UN level and marked all over the world, with many educational institutions organising conversations and events on this subject and approaching this important topic in different ways.
Of course, one of the goals is to encourage the girls to feel free when it comes to the choice of future profession rather than believe the stereotypes that say this branch of industry and science belongs to the men, and to empower them to follow their own interests and talents.
Savremena hosted conversations and lectures about this, to ensure that the girls do not lack encouragement when it comes to science. You can see what it was like here.
Savremena also hosted a great project focused on environment and recycling, where the students learned a lot about the protection of nature and engaged in many activities that raised awareness about the environmental values.
Informatics and computer science and ICT Starters teacher Ira Tuba conducted a project entitled “Economic and Social Benefits of Recycling”, through which Savremena officially became a participant in the prestigious European “STE(A)M IT Competitions 2021”.
Perhaps the most interesting part was the one where the students were invited to make an interactive blackboard with interesting facts about recycling. During this task, the students were very productive and engaged; you can learn the details here.
USEFUL MASTERY OF LANGUAGE AND GLOBALLY RECOGNISED ENGLISH AND FRENCH DIPLOMAS
Education at Savremena can lead to prestigious certificates that confirm the knowledge of the English language – which is a necessary skill for the 21st century. Primary School Savremena has provided its students with an opportunity to prepare for the prestigious Cambridge Assessment English examinations.
This way, they acquire diplomas that will considerably improve their options when it comes to further advancement and future career.
Primary School Savremena is also a DELF accredited centre; which means that Savremena’s students also have a readily available opportunity to acquire a globally recognised diploma confirming their acquired level of French, which will have lifelong value. Our school organises the DELF testing of the level of French, which is internationally recognised, and designed by the French ministry of education; through the school’s DELF level, the students can reach the high B2 level of French.
English and French language programmes are designed so that listening, reading and writing in both languages are in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CERF).
Through organising useful workshops, participating in shared creative activities and adopting a breadth of practical knowledge necessary for the 21st century, Savremena’s kids step proudly into the future! The life skills they acquire while still in school are the basis that lets them solve the problems of everyday life much more swiftly and efficiently, treat their environment responsibly, learn and think more quickly and fully understand the importance of practical action.
Bravo, friends!
