Spring has arrived in Savremena, and as soon as the weather improved, and days became sunny and warm, students’ mood also improved, and they became joyful and enthusiastic. Spring is the time of new beginnings, the time when nature awakens, so it is no wonder new ideas for classroom decoration have awoken in our students as well.   

While they prepared works to decorate classroom walls, Savremena students talked about Spring Poem by Desanka Maksimović, which was published in 1924, in the collection Poetry which belongs to the early stage of Desanka Maksimović’s poetry and comprises her most famous love and nature poems.

The poem matched the class atmosphere wonderfully, so much so that students printed it after class, and added it to one of their spring-inspired drawings. 

Every child possesses inherent creativity, we just need to awaken it, support it, and give it our full attention. This is why children’s opinions are acknowledged and respected at Savremena, so our students come to school with a smile, and grow up in an environment that encourages their creativity and imagination.  

There is almost nothing better that we can do for children than encouraging their creativity. Whether by giving them paper and crayons, or blocks to play with, children learn to develop their thinking and problem-solving skills and rely on innovativeness, thus gradually gaining the courage to share their creations with the world.
