Cambridge Programme Without Uncertainty: Parents Learn What the Student Journey Looks Like

Parents were introduced to the key elements of the Cambridge programme, including teaching methods, assessments, digital resources, exam preparation and certificates.

On 29 September, Savremena Primary School held a meeting dedicated to the Cambridge programme, with the aim of giving parents a closer insight into its key topics and planned activities during the school year.

The main elements of the Cambridge programme were presented during the meeting, including the curriculum and the Global Perspectives project, together with an overview of how work with students is organised.

Parents had the opportunity to learn more about the platform and digital books used within the programme, as well as shared profiles, assessments and other important aspects of Cambridge lessons.

A separate part of the meeting focused on exam preparation and the certificates students receive, giving parents a clearer overview of the key stages involved in the programme.

All teachers involved in delivering Cambridge lessons attended the event, allowing parents to speak with them directly, ask questions and receive additional explanations related to the topics presented.

The meeting therefore gave parents an opportunity to become more familiar with the organisation of the Cambridge programme and its main components.

From the Curriculum and Digital Books to Exams and Certificates

One of the central topics of the meeting was the structure of the Cambridge programme and the way its different elements are implemented throughout the school year.

Parents were introduced to the curriculum and the Global Perspectives project, as well as the digital tools that support the programme. Particular attention was given to the platform and digital books students use.

The meeting also covered teaching methods, shared profiles and assessments. This provided parents with an overview of the key activities included in Cambridge lessons and the way they are organised.

Exam preparation was another important topic, together with information about the certificates students receive. These points gave parents a clearer understanding of the key stages and obligations students encounter throughout the programme.

The presence of all teachers involved in Cambridge lessons added further value to the event, as parents were able to ask questions directly and receive answers and explanations from the teachers themselves.

In this way, the meeting brought together the most important information about the programme and offered parents a more detailed view of how it is organised and delivered.

Open Communication for a Clearer Understanding of the Programme

Direct communication between parents and the teachers involved in the Cambridge programme was an important part of the event.

Parents had the opportunity to speak with teachers, ask additional questions and receive further clarification about the topics presented during the meeting.

This meant that the information shared went beyond a general overview, allowing parents to learn more about the curriculum, digital resources, teaching methods, assessments and exam preparation.

The certificates students receive were also presented, together with an explanation of the steps leading up to examinations.

The meeting was therefore an opportunity to bring together all key information related to the Cambridge programme in one place and give parents a clearer picture of how it is organised throughout the school year.

Parents’ presence and support remain an important part of the process, while open communication with teachers contributes to a better understanding of the programme and the topics that are relevant to students as they progress through it.
