Last Saturday, 8 June, from 10 AM to 1 PM, we organised another unforgettable Family Day at Primary School Savremena and Savremena Gimnazija, guaranteeing a great time for the whole family. The large crowd of children and their parents who wanted to participate in interesting workshops is another proof of the quality and reputation of this traditional event.

Interactive workshops for children and helpful lectures for parents

Children aged 5–12 and their parents participated in different educational and creative workshops FREE OF CHARGE.

The children had a great time and learnt a lot of useful things; but this time, we prepared several short lectures, workshops and counselling sessions on interesting and current topics.

During Family Day, the children and their parents attended various workshops:

• Let’s operate a robot;
• Fun maths games;
• Creative hand – drawing and painting workshop;
• Music workshop;
• IT kids: little programmers create their first video games;
• Evaluation of the potential of preschool children;
• The power of play – creative psychodrama workshops;
• VR educational journey;
• Sportić – physical activities;
• Kahoot quiz: Guess the fairy tale;
• FOR PARENTS: short lectures and counselling sessions.

Innovations delighted the parents

The Principal of Primary School Savremena, Jasmina Franolić, is very proud of the attendance at Family Day which grows with each new event:

“This was the sixth Family Day and this time, we introduced certain innovations, primarily in the form of workshops and educational lectures for parents, which turned out to be a great decision, because attendance was great and the parents confirmed this is exactly what they needed – to get training by experienced educators.

This Family Day was also organised by SPONE Sistem Stimulacije, a programme for children and parents designed for the realisation of socially beneficial projects through interconnection and multidisciplinary cooperation between professionals, and Primary School Savremena, part of the most state-of-the-art, Future Ready, education system in the region accredited by the Republic of Serbia’s Ministry of Education and Cambridge University.
