Another successful Life Skills workshop; First aid training

Savremena Elementary School students mastered the basics of first aid with Red Cross volunteers.

Volunteers from “Red Cross Novi Beograd” visited Savremena Elementary School to conduct a first aid workshop for students of all grades. The workshop aimed not only to educate the youth in the fundamentals of providing first aid, but also to encourage them to reflect on the importance of humanity and volunteering in today’s society.

A skill that can save lives

Through interactive activities and practical demonstrations, students had the opportunity to learn how to react in various emergency situations, from injuries and falls to more complex conditions that require a quick and efficient response. Red Cross volunteers, using their rich experience and knowledge, successfully conveyed important lessons on caring for the injured while promoting values of empathy, solidarity, and responsibility towards the community.

Lectures and training are conducted by peer educators through interactive workshops tailored to the children’s age group, where first aid is learned through active participation, play, and socializing.

Such initiatives contribute to raising awareness among young people about the importance of caring for others and the role that everyone can play in building a better and more humane society. The workshop at the Savremena Elementary School is just one of a series of useful Life Skills workshops that prepare young people for independent functioning in the 21st century.
