A visit to the Museum of Illusions for a truly different school day
An experience that pushes boundaries and fosters children’s intelligence
Savremena’s students often change the premises in which they learn and play. In this unusual situation, they visited the Museum of Illusions in a special time slot, while adhering to all safety measures. This was also an opportunity to celebrate a birthday in the probably most unusual place in Belgrade.
Nothing is what it seems at the Museum of Illusions. Let’s just mention the Vortex Tunnel which “forced” the little ones to struggle just to make a step forward through a rotating cylinder. Each step on the completely flat surface was full of excitement.
Games, adventure and learning through carefully designed activities
The Museum of Illusions has a smart playroom where visitors can play, compete and learn. The playroom encourages learning and fun through the Dilemma Games concept, i.e. wooden puzzles and games designed to develop cognitive abilities and turn the playroom into a real fitness centre for the brain.
The museum also offers other didactic and logical toys and puzzles which, naturally, bring a bit of frustration but guarantee great fun. Special exhibits at the Museum of Illusions connect visual, educational and sensuous experiences, making us realise that our hypotheses about the world we see are really just hypotheses.
Activating grey cells through incredible installations and devices that push the boundaries of perception
The Museum of Illusions has more than 70 exhibits. This is not a place just for kids, who love this kind of entertainment, but also for adults who come with their friends and family members in large numbers.
The museum also contains the must-see “mirror room”, where the children took amazing photos of themselves, and a collection of holograms, optical illusions which can disrupt our consciousness.
To make the fun complete, Mina from class I-1 celebrated her 7th birthday at the Museum of Illusions. She decided to surprise her friends and take them to the museum. She arranged everything and the students had great fun.
