It is not difficult to inspire our students to express their creativity. This time the topic was the beginning of autumn and our students discovered the different faces of autumn through creative workshops, and we were completely astonished by their ideas.

With our second graders, we talked about how we know that autumn is coming, what autumn brings us and how long does this season last. We also talked about what wishes they would like to come true by the end of autumn. That was a great way to practice timing and time perception which are very important at that age. The students wrote their wishes on pieces of paper and the deadline for making the wishes come true was by the end of autumn, and then we hung all the pieces of paper on our “Wish Umbrella”. Some students wished for straight A’s and some for pets, some for winning points in the game and some for health for their families. When picking up their children, parents could read the wishes from the umbrella and we hope that many of them will come true.

Second graders from class II1 enjoyed the art workshop “Trees in the Park”. They delighted us with the details they noticed and presented, as well as with the originality of their works.

In their art class, third graders at Savremena covered the topic “Rhythm in Nature”, which is also covered by fifth-grade students. They had no lack of inspiration or ideas, and they came up with some really fascinating solutions.

These days, the traditional photo contest “Portrait of Autumn” has been announced, in which all students of the Primary School Savremena can participate. The competition is open until October 11, and we believe that our students will fascinate us as they did last year.

Apart from making life more beautiful and richer, creative thinking is also a skill that is especially valued in the modern age. At Savremena, we nurture the creativity of our students every day and encourage them to express themselves in different ways.
