A Performance and Creative Workshops

A Day at the Children’s Cultural Centre

Students of class IV1 spent an inspiring and eventful day at the Children’s Cultural Centre Belgrade, where they attended the “Glumijada” event. This special programme gave our fourth graders the opportunity to replace the classroom with a theatre hall for a while, and to experience a school day filled with art, play, creativity and meaningful learning.

The day began with the play “The Little Prince”, a story that leads children into a world of imagination, friendship, tenderness and important life messages. The students followed the performance attentively, enjoying the characters, symbols and emotions that make this story so special and memorable. The play encouraged them to think about friendship, honesty, responsibility and the things that truly matter, even when they cannot always be seen with the eyes.

After the performance, the students took part in workshops that made the visit even richer. They had the chance to enjoy writing and oral hygiene workshops, combining creative expression with useful knowledge about healthy habits. Through socialising, discussion and practical activities, their day at the Children’s Cultural Centre became a valuable experience that our students will remember for a long time.

Learning through art, play and experience

The “Glumijada” event gave students the chance to experience different forms of learning and expression in one place. The theatre performance introduced them to a day filled with imagination, emotions and reflection, while the workshops allowed them to participate actively, ask questions, explore and apply what they had heard and learned. Experiences like this show how important it is for education to go beyond the classroom and create opportunities for children to encounter culture, art and practical life skills.

During the writing workshop, students had the opportunity to develop their creativity, imagination and love of words. Through engaging tasks and an encouraging atmosphere, they expressed their thoughts, ideas and impressions, discovering that writing can be a form of play, exploration and storytelling. Such activities are especially valuable because they help children build confidence, strengthen language skills and learn how to turn their feelings and observations into words.

The oral hygiene workshop provided useful advice on proper dental care and the importance of healthy habits from an early age. Through practical examples and conversation, the children learned in a fun way how to take care of a healthy smile. The combination of art, creative expression and health education made this day varied, educational and full of positive impressions.

A memorable day and valuable new lessons

The visit to the Children’s Cultural Centre once again showed that children learn best when they are involved, curious and motivated to explore the world around them. During this special day, students of IV1 enjoyed the theatre, spent time with their classmates, took part in workshops and returned with new knowledge, as well as many wonderful memories.

Activities like this have a special place in school life because they help students develop cultural habits, creativity, responsibility and awareness of the importance of a healthy lifestyle. The play “The Little Prince” reminded them of the value of friendship and kindness, the writing workshop opened a space for imagination and expression, while the oral hygiene workshop offered useful advice they can apply every day.

We are proud of our fourth graders, who showed curiosity, good manners and a willingness to take part in all activities. Their day at the Children’s Cultural Centre was filled with cheerful moments, smiles and learning through experience, just as the most beautiful school days should be.
