At Savremena Primary School, we nurture friendship, support, and togetherness every day, and these values shone even brighter during our Week of Remembrance and Togetherness – a week filled with emotion, genuine smiles, and heartfelt words.

One of the most touching activities was the Wall of Kind Messages, where students shared compliments and words of encouragement they had received – those that stayed in their hearts, gave them strength, and made them feel accepted and loved. Colorful notes displayed messages like: “You’re beautiful”, “I love you”, “You’re great at math”, “You play football really well”, “You’re such a good friend”. Simple, yet deeply meaningful, these messages reminded us just how much kind words can mean to a child.

This activity was more than just a trip down memory lane. It was a chance to teach our students the importance of giving sincere compliments, offering support, and being a true friend. Through each note, they learned how trust is built, how to recognize goodness in others, and how the power of togetherness is shown in every smile, hug, and gentle word.

At Savremena, we believe that the best learning happens in an atmosphere of respect, love, and acceptance. That’s why we encourage our students every day to be empathetic, to connect with one another, to help each other, and to understand how every child is unique and important. The Week of Remembrance and Togetherness proved once again that our students don’t just learn facts and numbers – they learn how to be kind human beings.
